Eligibility Criteria
Who can appear for Improvement Exams?
A Candidate for the Part-II examination, during the course may with a view to improving his/her previous performance, be allowed to re-appear, only, once at the examination in one or more paper/s of Part I along with the Part II Examination, on foregoing in writing, his/her earlier performance in the paper/s concerned. But no candidate shall be allowed to re-appear in any paper of Part I while in III-year Class or thereafter
A candidate who has cleared the papers of the Part III examination, after having appeared at the examination initially, during the pendency of the span period, may with a view to improving his/her earlier performance, be allowed to re-appear only once, at the examination in one or more paper/s of Part III at the next Annual Examination, on foregoing, in writing, his/her previous performance in the paper/s concerned or Part III Examination.

Step-by-Step Guide to Applying
- Fill out the online form available on the Examination Portal on the DU website (http://app.du.ac.in/degree_conv/)
- Following documents are to be uploaded: Photograph and scanned signature. Self-attested copy of final year mark sheet/result.
Important Dates and Deadlines
A student who wants to re-appear for improvement in marks in a paper prescribed for semester I/III/V/VII may do so only in the semester examinations to be held in November/December. A student who wants to re-appear for improvement in a paper prescribed in semester II/IV/VI/VIII may do so only in the examinations to be held in May/June.
And the Students need to appear for the improvement exam on the scheduled date and time at the designated exam center.
Yes, you can reappear for the Practical Examinations too.
Also, for the year 2024-25 Practical Examination for Special Chance Examinations of Semester/Annual Mode will be conducted w.e.f. 16.08.2024.
